I am a senior at Yale studying Ethics, Politics and Economics with a certificate in Data Science.  I have experience investing in software at Advent International, health tech at KKR, and prior to that was an impact investing intern at Better Ventures. On campus, I co-chair the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking’s Student Advisory Board, working to build a vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem at Yale. I joined RDV to partner with student founders who love what they’re building. Through RDV, I am most excited by the opportunity to help student founders access the capital they need to scale, and connect the right resources to make great ideas even more powerful.
Fun fact about me…
I joined a rock band as a dare in eighth grade and we ended up being invited to travel around China and perform!

Venture Fellow, Harvard Business School
My childhood curiosity turned into an engineering career in applied R&D and product development. After receiving a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a research focus in human-robot interaction from the Georgia Institute of Technology, I joined The Boeing Company in Los Angeles. Hands-on experiences in deep technical areas like spacecraft and launch systems, computer vision, autonomy, and customer support allowed me to create human-centric disruptive mobility concepts and systems that pushed the future of aviation. Now in my first year at Harvard Business School, I’m seeking alternative ways to shape the innovation ecosystem. I joined RDV to join a community of people committed to investing in the future by taking big bets in the present. As an early-stage investor at Rough Draft Ventures, I am excited to promote equitable access to capital for mission-driven student founders.
Fun fact about me…
Over the pandemic, I picked up outdoor rollerskating as one of my main forms of physical activity.
Some of my interests include…
Music curation, yoga, amateur mixology, and roller skating

Hi, I’m Josh, the co-founder and CEO of Glyphic Biotechnologies, a VC-funded biotechnology startup commercializing a next-generation protein sequencing platform. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi, and Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, San Diego, which I attended fully-funded on the Jacobs School Scholarship. I double majored in Bioengineering: Biotechnology B.S. and General Biology B.S where I was a Barry Goldwater Scholar and the Valedictorian in the Department of Bioengineering. Subsequently, I completed a Master of Translational Medicine degree through the University of California, San Francisco and University of California, Berkeley in the Department of Bioengineering, from where I spun-out my first startup, Nephrosant. Nephrosant has raised over $22M in funding to commercialize a low-cost, non-invasive diagnostic assay for kidney injury. I took a leave of absence from a fully-funded MD-PhD MSTP at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Department of Biomedical Engineering to pursue biotech entrepreneurship. I subsequently graduated with an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where I was the Henry Ford II Scholar (Valedictorian), a Siebel Scholar, and an Arjay Miller Scholar. My first-author, peer-reviewed publications have been published in top-tier journals such as Nature Reviews Genetics and Science Translational Medicine. I am also an inventor on 6 issued/filed patents and author on 18 research articles. I was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Healthcare list and awarded a Biocom California Catalyst Award in 2021. In my free time, I enjoy going to farmer’s markets on Sunday mornings, sipping on dirty chai lattes, and creating pastries from scratch. I find equal enjoyment from partying till 4 AM in underground night clubs or hiking at 7 AM in the wilderness.
