BLUU GmbH, is a European leader in cultivated marine ingredients, founded in 2020 in Berlin as a spin-off from the Fraunhofer Centre for Marine and Cellular Biotechnology. The company develops sustainable, high-quality products from Atlantic salmon, rainbow trout, and carp, with initial offerings such as fish balls, tartare, and fish fingers, and plans to expand into structured fillets. Backed by a multidisciplinary team and operations in Berlin and Lübeck, Bluu aims to secure the future supply of animal protein through cost-efficient, scalable cell-culture technology.
